Aurangabad, March 18:

A photo of a little girl standing in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) with saline in her hand came to light in May 2018. This had received wide criticism from all over the state. Similar photos went viral on social media on Thursday. But the GMCH administration clarified that a relative held the saline in his hand till the staff brought the stand.

The photos of a young girl holding a bottle of saline in ward no 15 and a woman holding a bottle of saline for a patient sitting on the porch of the hospital went viral on Thursday. The photos were circulated with text that mentioned GMCH lack of facilities. The matter was immediately investigated by the administration. After investigation, it was found that the relatives were holding the saline in the hand till the stand arrived. There are 10 stands available in this ward. However, the matter is being further investigated, said medical superintendent Dr Suresh Harbade.
