Police arrest 3 suspects for killing youth

Aurangabad, Jan 15:

A 28 years old youth, Sameer Khan Sikandar Khan, a resident of Asifia Colony was murdered by three youths at Aurangpura by stabbing him on Thursday midnight over the petty reason of staring at them. The Kranti Chowk police arrested three suspects from various parts of the city in this connection. The arrested have been identified as Chirag Rajpal Ridlon (Gandhinagar) and two juveniles. It may be noted that the Kranti Chowk police had arrested Chirag for dragging a dog with a rope on a motorcycle, three months back.

According to the details, Sameer Khan and his friend Mohammad Adil Mohammad Aaref (28, Chistiya Colony) had gone to Piya Market to have Beer. Chirag Ridlon and his two accomplices (minor boys) were also present there. Meanwhile, Chirag started abusing Sameer saying why he is staring at him. Adil tried to mediate but Chirag slapped him and pushed him aside. As Sameer came forward, Chirag stabbed a knife on his thigh. The three suspects after murdering Sameer fled away from the scene on the motorcycle. A case was registered at the City Chowk police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by Adil.

DCP, Nikesh Khatmode Patil received the information that an youth from Gandhinagar had murder Sameer. The CCTV footage were checked and the police on the basis of the motorcycle registration number of the suspect. The police reached to the owner of the motorcycle and he told that he has sold the two-wheeler but it has not transferred on the name of the buyer yet. The police then searched the buyer and he told that he had given this bike to his friend from Gandhinagar. He took the police to Chirag’s house. He was sleeping and police nabbed him. The police also arrested two of his accomplices.

Meanwhil, deceased Sameer is also criminal on the police record. In all, 15 cases including two cases of selling Marijuana, molestagion, kidnapping, fight, injuring with weapon, cheque bounce, breaching curfew and banishment orders and others have been registered at various police stations in the city. In 2015, the then DCP had externed him. A case of injuring with weapon was also registered at Begumpura police station against him.
