Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

In a bizarre incident, an Indigo flight from Pune to Raipur made an emergency landing at Chikalthana Airport around 7.30 pm on Tuesday due to a malfunction in the aircraft's engine. This emergency landing caused panic among the passengers, but fortunately, no accidents occurred. After being stranded for an hour and a half on the faulty aircraft, the 161 passengers were eventually sent to Raipur on a Mumbai-Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar flight.

The flight from Pune to Raipur took off as per the scheduled time. However, shortly after takeoff, the aircraft experienced a technical malfunction in its engine. As a result, the pilot made an immediate decision to land at the nearest airport. The plane was diverted to Chikalthana Airport, where it safely landed around 7.30 pm on Tuesday.

This caused a momentary panic among the passengers on the flight. After landing of the aircraft at the city airport, the technical team began working on fixing the malfunction. However, anticipating a delay in the repairs, alternative arrangements were made for the passengers. They were sent to Raipur on another flight. Besides, other arrangements were made for passengers travelling from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Mumbai, according to the airport sources. Efforts were made to contact Indigo officials regarding this matter, but no response was received.

The malfunctioning aircraft remained grounded while repair efforts continued late into the night. Finally, after completing the necessary repairs, the aircraft is expected to depart on Wednesday.
