Aurangabad, May 10:

The Pundliknagar seized 10 Remdesivir injections from a motorcyclist during Nakabandi on Monday evening. The police called the drug inspectors and during inquiry it was found that the District Civil Hospital (DCH) lent these injections to a private Gajanan Hospital on loan basis.

On Monday evening, Pundliknagar police station’s API Ghansham Sonawane, PSI Vikas Khatke were checking the vehicles during the Nakabandi at Gajanan Maharaj Chowk. The police asked one motorcyclist to stop but he tried to flee away. On Suspicion, the police chased him and nabbed him. On searching him, 10 Remdesivir injections were found from him. He told police that his name is Gajanan Gadekar (26, Avishkar Colony) and works as peon in Gajanan Hospial. He was bringing the injections from DCH for the patients being treated at Gajanan Hospital. The police then called drug inspector, Rajgopal Bajaj. During the investigation it was found that the man was telling the truth and the injections were given from DCH to Gajanan hospital by the district collector’s order. When convinced, the injections were handed over to the doctors.
