Aurangabad, June 30:

Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant announced that Santpith would start working at Paithan from September.

Addressing a press conference at Government College of Engineering on Wednesday, he said that Guardian minister Subhash Desai had made available Rs 1 crore for the building of Santpith and its work would be completed soon.

He said that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray would inaugurate ‘Santpith’ in September.

There was a demand to have a sub-centre of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (BATU) in the city,

on this, Samant said that orders to start sub-centre of Dr BATU would be issued soon.

He promised to make available fund for the divisional library of the city.

On the point of demand to conduct a CBI probe against deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar and Transport Minister Anil Parab, he replied that it was an attempt to hamper good works.

He said that those who are making the demand the issue are performing their duty as an opposition.

Samant said that party seniors would take a decision about the post of speaker of Assembly.
