Aurangabad, April 14:

Curfew will be imposed from 8 pm on Wednesday and shops will remain closed till next April 30. However, this created confusion among the traders as the district administration did not provide an explanation as to whether the shops are allowed to open today.

Most of the shops in the market were open on Wednesday morning. However, as the police took to the streets, the shutters of the shop were lowered, but as soon as the police left, the shutters were raised again and the business was started. Due to the state of confusion among traders, shops were open in some areas and closed in others. Some clothes shops were partially opened at Paithangate. A crowd of citizens was also witnessed at Shahganj. Many shops in Cidco, Hudco, Jawahar Colony, Jalna road, Garkheda area, Shivajinagar were partially open. There is outrage among traders over the lack of clarity in government orders.

Meeting on Friday

The office-bearers of Jilha Vyapari Mahasangh expressed displeasure over the government's failure to implement a complete lockdown. A Pune-based trade association has expressed readiness to go to court against the curfew decision. A meeting of the Maharashtra Chamber will be held on Friday to decide the further approach, said mahasangh president Jagannath Kale.
