Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: With the temperature rising rapidly, this Sunday turned out to be the hottest of the current month in the city.

The mercury reached 37 degrees Celsius on Saturday while on Sunday recorded 37.2 degrees Celsius. As a result, the roads were deserted today.

This is the highest temperature of this summer, and the city reached this figure seven days ago. The first week of March was hot. Now, the heat is starting to be felt in the second week as well.

The Weather Department has forecasted that there will be severe heat waves in the month of March this year. Compared to last year, this month of February-March has witnessed a hot summer.

Every year, the intensity of the heat increases towards the end of March, but this year, the temperature started rising from the end of February itself. The increase in the intensity of the heat affected the traffic from afternoon to evening.
