Aurangabad, Nov 5:

Thieves kicked the running Scooty of a lady teacher and snatched her purse containing jewelry at the Cantonment area on November 4 at around 7 pm. A case has been registered at the Cantonment police station.

The teacher works at a school at Phulambri. On Wednesday, she was going on her Scooty from Sahyadri Hills, Shivajinagar area, towards Golwadi. Two motorcyclists came near her and kicked her Scooty from back side. Hence, the teacher tried to control her moped. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused snatched her purse kept on the front side of the moped and fled off. The purse contained seven grams gold chain, 6 grams zumber, 2.5 grams earrings and two mobile phones worth Rs 11,000. The teacher screamed for help, but the accused had fled off until then. The teacher lodged a complaint at the Cantonment police station while PSI Sachin Wayal is further investigating the case.
