Aurangabad, April 14:

Trade unions across the state had declared their support to the lockdown only if the state government implements a 100 per cent lockdown. However, all essential services have been kept open under new orders. Hence the trade unions have now decided to hold a meeting to decide their further approach.

Giving more information, senior vice-president of the Maharashtra state committee of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) Ajay Shah said, the CM Uddhav Thackeray announced new lockdown orders that allowed all essential services to function. However, trade associations were demanding a complete lockdown. But the trade unions are outraged by the government's decision. Such a lockdown will not break the corona chain. The lockdown has been going on for the last ten days. But the number of patients is increasing. If the government continues such a lockdown, then the infection will not be controlled. Therefore, the trade associations say that the government should enforce a 100 per cent lockdown. Hence a meeting has been convened of all trade associations by the Maharashtra chamber of commerce and industries to decide the further direction.
