Aurangabad, June 2:

An unknown woman was found dead ST Colony in the Bajajnagar area on Wednesday morning at around 6 am. The body was found in a partially nude state and hands were tied. The police opined that the woman was beaten up and murdered.

On Wednesday morning, a resident of ST Colony, Dattatray Pandhare, saw a body of a woman in a pool of blood in front of the houses of the residents' Anil Varhade and Atul Rane. He informed the residents about it and also the police. PI Prashant Potdar, API Madansingh Ghunawat and others rushed to the spot. They found that the body was in half nude condition and the hands were tied. There were injury marks on the body. The police sent the body to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The police said that it is likely that the woman was severely beaten up. There were injuries on the face and it was filled with blood. The murders were possibly taking the body after the murder but left it at the ST Colony.

The police called the dog squad. The dog, Tipu, could not find anything and hence the police said that the murders would have fled away in a vehicle. Dog squad officer M M Tanpure, V M More, A K Meher and others were present.

On receiving the information ACP Vivek Saraf, PI Madhukar Sawant and others visited and inspected the spot. The police are now searching the CCTV footage in this area, the police said.
