The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction will be held in Bengaluru today.KL Rahul is the costliest player so far for IPL 2022 as he was picked in the draft by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 16 crore. Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations. Rs 2 crore is the highest reserve price and as many as 48 players have chosen to place themselves in this bracket. Stay tuned with us to follow all the updates.....

BCCI adds 10 U - 19 World Cup players to auction list
 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has said that they have included at least 10 players of the U19 World Cup to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction list. The players added are Aaron Hardie, Lance Morris, Nivethan Radhakrishnan, Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Tamore, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Kumar, Rohan Rana, Sairaj Patil. While Hardie, Morris and Radhakrishnan are from Australia, the rest are all from India.

Ricky Ponting to miss mega auction, Saba Karim to lead Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals (DC) head coach Ricky Ponting will miss the IPL auction in Bengaluru. Instead former Indian cricketers Saba Karim & Pravin Amre will lead the team from Delhi at auction table on Saturday. DC has retained the likes of Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw, Axar Patel and Anrich Nortje and will go into auction with a budget of 47.5 Crore.

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Director of Cricket Mike Hesson said that the scouting programme for the mega auction helps the team in knowing the players in-depth. The mega auction for the IPL 2022 season will be held on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru. "Once the retentions are finished, we find out the remaining purse of all the other teams. It's a continuation of our scouting programme so, there are a number of domestic tournaments taking place and our scouts are out there, feeding back the information to our coaching team."
