As the effects of the second wave of coronavirus cases in Maharashtra is slowly receding, the Bombay High Court has lauded the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's planning. Earlier, the Supreme Court had also praised the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. Although Mumbai's population is higher than other cities, the number of covid patients has been steadily declining since last week. Against this background, the Bombay High Court has ordered that the Mumbai model should now be implemented in the surrounding municipal corporations.

A bench of Bombay High Court Judge Dipankar Datta and Justice Girish Kulkarni, while hearing the petitions on covid management, testified that the corona situation in Mumbai is now under control. "Mumbai had the highest number of corona patients in the state. But due to good planning of the municipality, the covid situation is now under control. This has also been appreciated by the Supreme Court. Therefore, the Mumbai model should be implemented in other places in the state and in the Municipal Corporations near Mumbai ", the bench has ordered.

The Mumbai model can certainly be beneficial in nearby Navi Mumbai, Thane, Mira Bhayander, Kalyan-Dombivali and Ulhasnagar region. Therefore, the Municipal Corporation should work according to the Mumbai model, the court said.
