A 15-year-old girl has tested positive for coronavirus in Sindhudurg district. The girl had come from Mumbai to a village in Kudal taluka on April 20.

The district was on it's way to become corona free. This is the second COVID-19 patient found in the district. The second covid-19 case has put the district administration in stress.A 15-year-old girl who came to a remote village in Kudal taluka from Mumbai few days ago, has been found to be positive. Sindhudurg district, which was moving towards green zone, has suffered a major setback because of this case.

The girl belonged to a family that had moved to a village at the foothills of the Sahyadri in Kudal taluka due to rapid spread of the disease in Mumbai. All of them underwent health check-ups and their swab samples were also tested. The 15-year-old girl's report from the family came positive.
