The entire world is currently battling the coronavirus. Many countries have resorted to lockdown to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Lockdown has been going on in India since March 23. The nationwide lockdown will continue till May 3. 

Due to the lockdown there has been an increase in the use of social media platforms by people. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray also has an account on users of short-form video sharing app TikTok. CM Thackeray addresses the state through social media in regular intervals. In his address he was seen appealing to people through social media to stay at home and spend time with family, take care of seniors. 

CM's small clips from his address to state have been going viral on Tiktok. His videos of address have got over views from 1 crore 77 lakh users. 

Now this is called optimum utilization of resources/medium. He has been using the medium effectively to communicate with the public, as well as to inform the public on important issues, as well as to maintain social distance. Each of his videos has received up to 5 million views.
