Covid-19: Satara district imposes restrictions; Check out what will remain open & what will remain closed

As the coronavirus patient growth rate in the district has gone up to 10 per cent, Satara district has been included in the level four of the unlock plan. Therefore, District Collector Shekhar Singh has imposed level four restrictions in the entire Satara district and the district collector on Friday issued orders to close all types of shops except essential services.

The restrictions will be in force from Monday to Friday as per the Collector's order. Also, a complete curfew will continue in the district for two days on Saturday and Sunday.

Essential Services include Grocery Shops, Vegetable Shops, Fruit Sellers, Dairy, Bakery, Mutton, Chicken, Egg, Fish Shops, Cold Storage, Warehouses, Hospitals, Diagnostic Centers, Vaccination Centers, Medical Insurance Offices, Pharmacies, Pharmaceutical Companies, Medical Equipment Sales Shops, all offices under the control of SEBI, all services designated by the Reserve Bank of India, electricity and gas supply, petrol pumps, petroleum related products, all types of financial institutions, newspapers will be allowed.

As per the order issued by the Maharashtra government on June 25, the district collector has been instructed to determine the level of unlock of the district concerned as per the increase in the number of patients reported through RTPCR tests. According to the RTPCR test, the patient growth rate in Satara district has reached 12 per cent. Therefore, the Collector has imposed these restrictions.

What will remain open and closed in Satara:

- All school college coaching classes will be completely closed

- All shops will be closed except for essential services

- Emergency stores will now be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Hotels, restaurants will be closed, parcel service will be open from 9 am to 8 pm 

- No sports competitions will be held

- Socio-cultural religious places of worship will continue to be subject to restrictions

- Exercise and walking are allowed in public places, open ground from 5 am to 9 am on Monday to Friday.

- Permission with restrictions for marriage and funeral

- Construction work allowed but workers must be accommodated 

- Agricultural shops will be open throughout the week until two o'clock in the afternoon 

- Salons will be open

- Public transport bus service will continue at 50% capacity

- Permission to continue freight

- Permission to travel inter-district by private vehicles, taxis, buses, long distance trains

- Permission to shoot in isolation bubble

- Market Committees will be open from 7 am to 2 pm
