Maharashtra reported 43,183 new COVID-19 cases and 249 deaths today, according to the health Bulletin released by the state government. A total of 32,641 COVID-19 patients discharged today and  24,33,368 patients discharged after full recovery until today. The recovery rate in the state is 85.2 percent. Fatality rate is the state is 1.92 percent. Out of 1,99,75,341 laboratory samples, 28,56,163 have been tested positive (14.3%) for COVID-19 until today. Currently, 19,09,498 people are in home quarantine and 18,432 people are in institutional quarantine

On the other hand, Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday recorded 461 fresh COVID19 cases that took its tally to 1,31,421, while four more fatalities pushed the death toll to 1,998, officials said. Of the fresh cases, 361 were reported from the Kashmir division and 100 from the Jammu division, they said. Kerala saw a steep rise   in daily fresh infections on Thursday, registering 2,798 new COVID19 cases and 1,835 recoveries with over 26,000 people presently undergoing treatment for the virus. The toll mounted to 4,632 with 11 more recent deaths being added. The caseload rose to 11,27,382 and as many as 10,96,239 people have been cured of the disease and the active cases touched 26,201.  Meanwhile, 52,097 people in the over 45 years age group were administered the vaccine in 1,152 vaccination centres in the state on Thursday.
