Another video of two women and a man encountering a fight at a ticket booking counter over the Marathi Language. This heated language dispute video is viral on social media. Two railway staff women were selling tickets, and the man accused them of not speaking in Marathi. The issue escalated when one of them said I am here to communicate in Marathi. Recently, many incidents were reported where MNS workers assaulted a bank employee, a security guard, and a D-Mart employee for not speaking in Marathi. MNS chief Raj Thackeray said workers should make sure the Marathi language is being used in every corner of the state. Raj Thackeray said that if you come to Maharashtra, you must speak Marathi; it is a state language, and you should understand it. You can't say, "I will not speak." He made these remarks while addressing the masses at the Padwa Melava.

The man, while recording the video, said to the Railway staff, “Bolo na abhi Marathi Bolna Zaruri nahi hai. (Say now Marathi is not necessary to speak).” After hearing this, the second lady comes and tries to calm the man, and is heard asking what is your problem? I am here to communicate in Marathi. The man replied by saying, Why did she say speaking Marathi is not necessary, and tell her how important Marathi is here. If you are working in Maharashtra and you are not comfortable with Marathi, then you should leave the state.”

The man also asked her to show her ID and take off the mask that she was wearing in the video.

The exact location of this incident remains unknown.

Internet Reacts:

On X, a user commented, "Unpopular opinion: Forcing your language makes it more disliked and unpopular."   Another wrote, "Is this becoming a trend? First Bengaluru, now Maharashtra. This needs to stop." A third user said, "This is the third video like this on my feed today. What’s happening in Maharashtra? The government places individuals at these locations—why not direct your frustration there instead?"

Another user wrote, “What is happening in India? In the past, we felt so proud that we were a diverse country! Believe it or not, India is currently going through a language civil war.” Speaking about constitutional laws, a user wrote, “Please show which law in the Constitution says a person has to speak the language of the state they are living in? It is the fundamental right of any Indian to live in any part of Indian soil. That is there in the constitution.”
