Earlier in the semis, Jawahar Vidyalaya defeated city softball team 1-0 whereas in the second semi-final, Jindal Public School downed Nutan Bharat Vidyalaya 1-0. In all six teams particiapted in the tournament that was inaugurated by former mayor Sandip Joshi in the presence of NMC sports officer Dr Piyush Ambulkar, NBYS president Ramesh Bakshi, sports organiser Darshana Pandit, Laxmikant Kirpane, sports teacher Vinod Surdude and the president of Nagpur District Softball Association Ketan Thakre and others.

DSO Pallavi Dhatrak, headmistress Dr Vandana Badwaik, taluka sports officer Sapte, Anil Bofawar, Darshana Pandit, Vinod Surduse, Pranay Sukhdeve, and others wee present on the occasion.
