Shiv Jayanti 2025: ‘Jai Shivaji, Jai Bharat’ Foot March Organised to Mark Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Birth Anniversary in Nashik

On the occasion of Shiv Jayanti, the Central Government has instructed the State Government to organize a ‘Jai Shivaji, Jai Bharat’ foot march in every district. In Nashik, around 2,000 students from KTHM College and Ekalavya Schools will participate in a rally starting at 7:30 AM on Wednesday (19th). State School Education Minister Dada Bhuse will garland the equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in front of the District Collector’s Office, following which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with attendees virtually.

The rally aims to promote leadership, personality development, nationalism, and social harmony among youth while creating awareness about government initiatives. It will begin at KTHM College and proceed through Rajiv Gandhi Bhavan CBS, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Memorial, and Ashoka Pillar before returning to KTHM College.

The Nashik Revenue Administration, along with other departments, will lead the march. Around 1,500 students from Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj will also participate. The event will feature traditional and cultural performances such as dhol-tasha, lezim, yoga, mallakhamb, and sports demonstrations by students from schools, colleges, and local sports organizations. Participants will also showcase historical and traditional costumes, highlighting the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

This initiative aims to honor Shivaji Maharaj’s contributions, instill patriotism, and preserve cultural traditions among the younger generation.
