Schools in Haryana are set to reopen for senior classes from December 14. Students will have to produce medical certificates not older than 72 hours to attend classes, a government note read."It has been decided that students of classes 10 and 12 will be allowed to attend their government or private schools from December 14 for three hours daily -- between 10 AM to 1 PM," the Directorate School Education said in a circular. 

Earlier, the state government had decided to keep the schools shut till November 30, in view of the COVID-19 situation. Classes for Grades 9 and 11 will commence from December 21. The decision to reopen the schools was taken late on Wednesday in a high level meeting chaired by Education Minister Kanwar Pal.  Before reopening of the schools, the campuses will be completely sanitized. A large number of students recently tested COVID positive in many districts of Haryana. After which the government closed all the schools from November 20 to 30. It was reviewed again and then was decided to keep the schools closed till 10 December. In the meeting held on Wednesday, it has been agreed to open from 14 December.
