Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) has announced a new date for the computerised lottery draw of its "My Preferred CIDCO Home" housing scheme. The draw, originally scheduled for February 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, has now been rescheduled to February 19, 2025, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The reason for the postponement has not been specified.
According to CIDCO’s Public Relations Department, the draw has been rescheduled to coincide with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. The event will be conducted using a computerised system and will be broadcast live via webcasting to ensure transparency. Citizens can watch the live webcast on cidcohomes.com or check their results by logging into their CIDCO Home account. In addition to online access, the draw will also be streamed at CIDCO Experience Centres located in Taloja (Kharghar East), Khandeshwar, and Kharghar, Panvel (Raigad). These centers will provide an opportunity for citizens to witness the moment when 26,000 families move closer to owning a home.
Launched on October 12, 2024, the "My Preferred CIDCO Home" scheme offered 26,000 tenements under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) categories as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). The homes are spread across several Navi Mumbai nodes, including Vashi, Bamandongri, Kharkopar, Kharghar, Taloja, Mansarovar, Khandeshwar, Panvel, and Kalamboli. A key feature of the scheme was its flexibility, allowing applicants to select up to 15 tenements of their choice, making it one of CIDCO’s most adaptable housing initiatives. The scheme received an overwhelming response from homebuyers.
CIDCO has already published the final list of valid applicants, confirming 21,399 eligible applications for the 26,000 available homes. Despite four registration and booking payment deadline extensions, CIDCO did not receive applications matching the total number of homes. The draft list of applicants who successfully paid the booking amount was released on January 3, 2025, with no changes in the final list. The lottery draw will now be conducted on February 19, 2025, and results will be available on CIDCO’s official website.
