First bus plying on Samruddhi Highway entered Shirdi: How many hours did it take to reach from Nagpur?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Hindu heart Emperor Balasaheb Thackeray Samruddhi Highway, which is known as the destiny line of Maharashtra's development. The distance between Nagpur-Shirdi due to the inauguration of this highway.

Nagpur-Shirdi bus ran on this highway after the inauguration by the Prime Minister. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde flagged off this bus from Nagpur. This bus left Nagpur for Shirdi at 3.30 pm.

After entering Shirdi, this passenger bus was welcomed by Chief Executive Officer Rahul Jadhav and staff on behalf of Circle Saibaba Sansthan at Nagar-Manmad Road Kokamthan. Passengers riding in this bus enjoyed their journey on Samruddhi Highway.

Expressing his feelings, the driver of this bus said that he started the journey with the name of Sai Baba. Around 3.30 PM we left and reached Shirdi by 10.15 PM. It took about half past six to seven. He said the speed limit was 80 as it was a heavy vehicle.

So when you enter the Samruddhi Highway, your vehicle is registered. Then the toll is paid at the exit toll booth where you are about to exit. The driver also said that we paid around 3 thousand toll.

Meanwhile, we traveled on Samruddhi Highway for the first time. We enjoyed traveling on this road. It felt great to reach Shirdi in such a short time for Saibaba's darshan. The lady passenger in the bus said that we reached Shirdi in six and a half hours.

The 94.5 km Mumbai-Pune Expressway was constructed in 2002 at a cost of Rs.1600 crores. This route added to the overall development of Mumbai-Pune. Now 701 km long Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi Highway has been realized by spending around 55 thousand crore rupees.

This route will connect as many as 10 districts and 26 talukas, this route will be a 'game changer' for Maharashtra. Thanks to this highway, the 18-hour journey from Nagpur to Mumbai can now be done in just 8 hours. It used to take 13 hours to cover the distance from Nagpur to Shirdi.

This highway connects Shirdi, Verul, Lonar Sarovar, Ajanta, Aurangabad, Jyotirlinga of Trimbakeshwar and various tourist spots like Grishneswar , Nashik, Igatpuri and Shirdi in Ahmednagar. This will boost the tourism here.

Samruddhi Highway will raise the profile of Maharashtra in the country. Maharashtra will now be second in the list of states with the longest expressway. Earlier, Maharashtra was ranked fourth. Uttar Pradesh is the first state.
