Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has once again come under the spotlight due to her bizarre statements. Days after her India’s independence in 1947 was “bheek” remarks triggered a row, Ranaut on Tuesday claimed Subhas Chandra Bose and Bhagat Singh got no support from Mahatma Gandhi and went on to mock his mantra of ahimsa by saying that offering another cheek gets you “bheek” not freedom.

Last week, while speaking at a summit she said that India's freedom was a ‘bheekh.

Saif Ali Khan starrer Tandav landed itself into trouble after many politicians and netizens claimed that a particular scene from the web series has allegedly hurt Hindu sentiments. Later, Kangana Ranaut, who never shies to voice her opinion, tweeted on the ongoing outrage and wrote, “The problem isn’t just the Hindu phobic content, it’s also creatively poor and deprived, atrocious and objectionable on every level hence deliberately placed controversial scenes. Put them in jail not just for criminal intentions but also for torturing the viewer #tandavwebseries. (sic)”

Ranaut landed in controversy on after she compared Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in a bid to counter Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut who had slammed her for saying she was scared of the Mumbai Police. Ranaut tweeted, “Sanjay Raut Shiv Sena leader has given me an open threat and asked me not to come back to Mumbai, after Aazadi graffitis in Mumbai streets and now open threats, why Mumbai is feeling like Pakistan occupied Kashmir?”Leaders across parties reacted strongly to her statement. The Congress said it condemned the comparison of Mumbai to PoK.

Not only that, Kangana Ranaut was targeted by many by tweeting against the farmers' movement. On Twitter, there was a huge verbal war with her actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh.

In the latest turn of events, Ranaut is disappointed at the government's decision to scrap the contentious farm laws. She took to Instagram Stories on Friday to share her views on the same.

Sharing a person's tweet about the repeal, Kangana wrote, “Sad, shameful, absolutely unfair. If people on the streets have started to make laws and not the chosen government in the Parliament, then even this is a jihadi nation. Congratulations to all who wanted it like this.”

In a second post, she shared a picture of late former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. “When the conscience of the nation is in deep sleep, lath (the cane) is the only solution and dictatorship is the only resolution… Happy birthday Madam Prime Minister," she wrote. Friday marks the 104th birth anniversary of the former PM.

On Friday morning, PM Narendra Modi announced that the Union government has decided to repeal the three farm laws that were passed in Parliament in 2020, following protests by a section of the country’s farmers.
