Tata Group owned Air India to invest Rs 3300 crore to refurbish cabin interior with other many things

After nearly six decades, Air India returned home to the TATA Group. The Tata Group is gearing up to bring back the golden days of Air India. Various changes are being made in Air India. systems are being updated.

Now Air India is going to modernize its wide body planes. A whopping $400 million i.e. more than Rs 3300 crore will be spent on modernizing its interiors.

According to information received from Air India, the company will replace the interior of 27 Boeing B787-8 and 13 B777 aircraft. The modernization plan will completely change the interior of the existing cabin. This means the old seats will be replaced with the latest generation modern seats.

As Air India flights operate on international routes, best-in-class entertainment facilities will be provided. Leading London-based product design firm JPA Design and Trend Works have been roped in to assist with the cabin interior design.

The TATA Group expects this modernization process at Air India to be completed by mid-2024. Until now, Air India's wide body aircraft did not have premium economy cabins. Now Tata group has decided to launch premium economy cabin.

This arrangement is already in place in Vishtar, another airline of the TATA group. The creation of this cabin will benefit such customers. Low cost for travelers who don't want to strain their pockets to travel in business or first class.

Air India flights have very few first class passengers. Air India's B777 e-body aircraft will also retain the first class cabin. Aviation industry experts say that many people travel in first class on international routes.

As Air India is the flag carrier airline of the country, such arrangements will have to be made in some planes as well. We are sure, that the new interiors will delight the customers when the new changes are introduced.
