Pimpri-Chinchwad Fire: Massive Blaze Erupts at Scrap Godown in Kudalwadi Area (Watch Video)

Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra (October 7, 2024):  A massive fire broke out in the Kudalwadi area of Chikhali, Pimpri Chinchwad, on Monday, damaging multiple godowns that stored electrical wiring and appliances.

The fire ignited around 4:15 PM, leading to an emergency call to the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s Main Fire Station at approximately 4:20 PM. Fire engines from Moshi, Chikhali, and Talawade Fire Stations were promptly dispatched to the scene.

The blaze destroyed three godowns filled with refrigerators, electrical wires, and computer equipment. Firefighters managed to arrive in time to prevent a fourth godown from being engulfed by the flames.

Fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported. Approximately eight fire engines were involved in the response, successfully bringing the fire under control within an hour. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire.
