Aurangabad, March 15:

Gold ornaments of six tolas were stolen from the purse of a lady passenger during a running bus.

According to details, Deepika Ravindra More lives at Uttaranagri with her husband and seven-year-old son.

The complainant, accompanied by her son, carried gold ornaments with her while going to her parents' house at Bhokardan on March 7, considering that thieves may steal them from her home when her husband goes on duty.

Deepika’s husband works in a private company.

She boarded a Buldhana-Vaijapur bus for Aurangabad from Bhokardan on Sunday. She had kept all ornaments in small pouches in her purse.

Around 3 pm, she got down at Harsul Bus Stop and checked her purse. The lady passenger was shocked not to see a single ornament in the purse. She realised that her ornaments were stolen during the journey. Deepika lodged a complaint with City Chowk Police Station.

PSI Anand Tange is on the case. The purse has rings, chain, ear and nose rings, ear tops, locket.
