Aurangabad, July 15:

“I have made efforts for the development of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) with the help of students, employees, teachers and society. No stone is left unturned to maintain social commitment and bring laurels to it,” said Dr Pramod Yeole, vice-chancellor of Bamu.

He was speaking during a meeting officers held on Thursday on the completion of two years of tenure. Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath, registrar Dr Jaishree Suryavanshi were present. Earlier, the officers felicitated VC Dr Yeole.

The vice-chancellor said that he was satisfied with his two years tenure.

"Society has high hopes from the university which was named after Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Students problems should be solved as per the norms. Children of farmers, labourers, Bahujans and minority communities take education here. Many of them are graduates of first-generation. Changes would be made in the education field considering the post-Covid situation,” he said.

VC Dr Yeole said that students from Marathwada have tremendous potential but, they need proper guidance. Pro-VC Dr Shyam Shirsath, Dr Kailas Pathrikar, Dr Girish Kale, Ishwar Manza, Dilip Bharad and Kishor Nade also spoke. Sanjay Shinde proposed a vote thanks.
