Direct access road from Aurangabad to Pune, Gadkari says work will begin in six months

Aurangabad, Feb 13: There are a lot of problems while traveling from Aurangabad to Pune. Traffic jams and accidents are also reported, mainly after passing through the city. Therefore, like Dhule-Solapur, a direct road from Aurangabad to Pune is required; local organisation Aurangabad First had demanded through MP Bhagwat Karad and MLA Atul Save in New Delhi, recently.

Responding positively to the demand, union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that the work for Aurangabad-Pune direct access road will begin in the next six months.

Aurangabad First president Pritish Chatterjee said individuals and organizations were pressing for the direct access road which will make the journey from Aurangabad to Pune easier. Primarily time will be saved. The road will be beneficial for students, entrepreneur and professionals. The big problem of traffic congestion will be solved in Aurangabad as well as on Pune, Mumbai, Ahmednagar and Nashik highways.

All office-bearers and members including Chatterjee, secretary Ranjit Kakkad and treasurer Anil Mali thanked Gadkari for the decision.
