A professor from MGM Medical College and prominent psychiatrist Dr Arun Marwale has been elected as the president of the Western Region (WR) of the Indian Psychiatric Society (IPS).

Currently, he is the vice president and will serve the Society for the year 2021-22. The WR consists of three states- Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. Secretary of MGM and Chancellor of MGM University Ankushrao Kadam, Vice President Dr P M Jadhav, Dr Pravin Suryavanshi and others congratulated Dr Marwale his election.
