Aurangabad, Jan 15:

The Sambhajinagar Shahar Nidhi Samarpan Samiti is implementing a fundraising campaign for the construction of the Ram Mandir. The campaign began from Friday and will continue for a month.

Processions were taken out at 25 places in the city. Young boys and girls wearing Luv Kush costumers participated in the procession. The youngsters presented scenes from the Ramayana period. Shopkeepers, vendors and citizens donated funds with spontaneous participation. Devotees also performed various street plays. A large number of women also participated in the procession at Sainagar N-6. As per the appeal made by Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirthakshetra Trust, Ram devotees will go from house to house to collect funds. A committee has been set up at the district level for the campaign. Under this campaign, 15,000 volunteers will reach out to three lakh houses in the district. Navnath Maharaj Andhale, Sushil Bharuka, Atul Kale, Rajiv Jahagirdar, Pankaj Bharsakhale, Deepali Ansingkar, Shailesh Patki, Pankaj Padalkar of the fundraising committee were present. The organizing committee has appealed to the devotees to give not only funds but also their time in this campaign.
