Aurangabad, July 18:

A man committed suicide by hanging himself as his girlfriend ditched him and refused to live with him. The incident occurred on June 24. A case based on the complaint lodged by the deceased's father has been registered at the Satara police station on Saturday. The deceased Tushar Gaikwad (29, Shivajinagar, Thane) had an affair with a married woman. However, she betrayed him and refused to live with him. She ignored to meet him during the lockdown period, Tushar mentioned in the suicide note.

The Satara police, on June 24, informed Tushar’s father, Sanjay Govind Gaikwad (60, Shivajinagar, Thane), that Tushar had met an accident. He came to the city and took Tushar’s body to Shivajinagar, Thane, where the last rites were performed on him. Meanwhile, Sanjay Gaikwad found a suicide note in Tushar’s bag. He had mentioned the reason of suicide and the evidence on his mobile phone. Accordingly, a case has been registered at the Satara police station on the concerned woman. PSI Vikram Vadne is further investigating the case.
