Aurangabad, April 11:

“Mahatma Jyotrao Phule laid the foundation stone of reformist movement in the State. He also had the lion’s share in the rewriting history,” said Dr Sanjay Moon, director of Lifelong Learning Department of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University.

He was speaking an online lecture organised by the university to celebrate Mahatma Phule's birth anniversary, the great social reformer of the State.

Earlier, the statue of Phule garlanded. Dr Sanjay Moon said that Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj carried forward the legacy of Phule to Kolhapur Province. Head of Tourism Administration Department Dr Rajesh Ragade said that contribution of Phule in rewriting the history is important.
