Aurangabad, Jan 28:

Some miscreants mischievously burnt the vehicles parked in front of the house at the Ranjangaon Shenpunji area on Tuesday evening. Vehicles including a car and three two-wheelers were ablazed due to which losses to the tune of Rs 1.15 lakh have incurred. A case has been lodged against a neighboring woman in this regard.

Ravindra Kashinath Kulkarni (Shivneri Colony, Ranjangaon) works in a private company. He parked his car (MH 20 DV 7194) and three two-wheelers (MH 20 ES 2786, MH20 DM 5343 and MH20 AE 8281) in front of his house. The next day, Kulkarni and other residents of this locality woke up at around 4 am as it was the time of water supply. They saw the vehicles in front of the house burning. The residents, Sanjay Sable, Balshiram Sumbre and others tried to extinguish the fire. However, the vehicles incurred huge losses till then.

Kulkarni, in his complaint, suspected his neighbor Chandubai Rathod. He alleged that Chandubai put old clothes under and over the vehicles and set them on fire. A case has been registered against suspect Chandubai Rathod (Ranjangaon) at Waluj MIDC police station while PSI Chetan Ogale is further investigating the case.
