Akshay Kumar has offered to help 3600 dancers with monthly ration amid the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Ganesh Acharya was asked by long Akshay Kumar on his 50th birthday as to what gift would he like to have and he asked Akshay to donate a monthly ration to junior choreographers, aged dancers, and background dancers coming to a total tally of about 3600. As the news goes, Akshay agreed to the birthday wish and acted like a true humanitarian by deciding to donate monthly ration through the Ganesh Acharya Foundation dedicated to helping out people in need amidst COVID 19. Ganesh’s wife contributes a lot of her time and effort to personally overseeing the distribution of the food under COVID 19 protocols. The dancers will get an option to either take money for a month’s ration in cash or get the food delivered to their house through the foundation.

Earlier, in March, Akshay himself was diagnosed with Covid-19.  Akshay has been doing his bit to raise awareness among people to stay home amid lockdown. From releasing an angry video on Instagram to starring in a common music video with other Bollywood actors, Akshay has been doing his bit to make fan aware about the deadly virus. On the work front, Akshay has a number of big-budget films in his kitty. Earlier, Akki, released an official statement clarifying the speculations on the release dates of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom.  Akshay said, "I'm humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love." "However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time," he added according to the official release. The film had previously been postponed due to the spike in coronavirus cases in India. Sooryavanshi that features Akshay and Katrina Kaif in the lead was set to get a theatrical release on April 30.
