Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated 9 medical colleges from Siddharthnagar. Medical colleges have been constructed at Siddharthnagar, Eta, Hardoi, Pratapgad, Fatehpur, Deoria, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, and Jaunpur. This should also be inaugurated by Modi.
All these medical colleges have 300 beds as per the standards of the National Medical Commission. Work is still underway on 500 beds. But when 7 out of these 9 medical colleges were inspected, it was found that the truth was somewhat wrong. Aajtak reported about it.
Mirzapur - No power supply yet.
A medical college has been set up at Mirzapur under the name of Maa Vindhyavasani Autonomous State Medical College. There needs to be 24 hours electricity here. But the work of electricity is still incomplete here. The building is complete. The college was built on 30 acres at a cost of Rs 232 crore
Hardoi - 10 km away from the college campus
90 percent of work has been completed in this medical college built at a cost of Rs. 206 crore. Faculties have been appointed. Junior to senior positions has been filled. Patients will be treated at the district hospital, 10 km from the campus. District
Jaunpur - It will take 2-3 years to complete the work
The medical college, which is being set up at a cost of Rs 554 crore, has so far received Rs 300 crore. The groundbreaking ceremony of this medical college was held in 2014 by the then Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. It was also inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 25. But the work of this building hasn't been completed yet.
Pratapgad - The construction of the building is incomplete, the road has not been built
A medical college named Sonelal Patel is being set up in Pratapgad. It was inaugurated but the building is still incomplete. The road from the main road to the college was not even built. The building will have 345 beds with 20 ICUs.
Deoria - Only 80 percent of College work is completed.
Maharshi Devaraha Baba Medical College at Deoria started health facilities from the district hospital. After getting the result, 100 admissions will be given here and MBBS education will start. At a cost of Rs 208 crore, 20 percent of the work is still incomplete.
Fatehpur - College is not complete yet
The work of Amar Shaheed Jodha Singh Ataiya Thakur Medical College in Fatehpur district was to be completed in March 2021. But the building is not yet complete. This medical college was constructed in Allipur village on an 8 km national highway from the city.
Eta - OPD started but building partially.
In this 300 bed medical college, 100-bed OPD has been started in the district hospital. But the building was not completed. MBBS students' lecture room, resident doctor, professor's residence have been made. But the work of the trauma center is still pending.
