On the occasion of International Women's Day, the makers of Samantha Ruth Prabhu's upcoming film 'Yashoda' shared a video that features the powerful women behind the making of their movie.
The movie has been in the headlines ever since it was announced.
The pan-India, women-centric movie 'Yashoda' stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead role, while actress Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen in a pivotal role. Unni Mukandan will essay a lead role in the movie as well
Billed as a science-fiction thriller, 'Yashoda' is written and directed by director duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan. It is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies. The technical team of 'Yashoda' includes Mani Sharma and M. Sukumar as the music composer and the cinematographer, respectively.
According to reports, Samantha is seeking a huge sum of Rs.3 crore as her fee.
The actress had charged a hefty fee of Rs 1.5 crore for just one song for the film Pushpa.
Samantha has recently completed 12 years in the industry. She was last seen in Allu Arjun's blockbuster pan-India movie 'Pushpa', in a special song 'Oo Antava' made her one of the most happening actresses in India.
She will be seen as Queen Shakuntala in her upcoming mythology-based movie 'Shaakuntalam', while her Tamil movie 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal' is in the making. Directed by Guna Sekhar, the movie will release soon.
