Maharashtra's outgoing Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who has always been embroiled in controversy for his statements, has finally ended his career as governor of Maharashtra. President Draupadi Murmu accepted the resignation of Bhagat Singh Koshyari as governor. Now Ramesh Bais has been appointed as the new Governor of Maharashtra.

Ramesh Bais, who is currently the Governor of Jharkhand, will be the new Governor of Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Bhagat Singh Koshyari has often been embroiled in controversies during his tenure due to his political decisions and statements. Interestingly, the tenure of Ramesh Bais, the future governor of Maharashtra, has also been mired in controversy.

The Governor had questioned the Hemant Soren government more than half a dozen times over the government's vision and decisions. Hemant Soren and his party leaders have been seen targeting the Governor on several occasions.

Maharashtra's new responsibility will not be easy for Governor Ramesh Bais. However, it is certain that Ramesh Bais will not have an easy time due to some old decisions of Bhagat Singh Koshyari.

During the Uddhav Thackeray government, 12 people were sent to the Raj Bhavan by the government. But Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari did not take any decision on this.

On the other hand, after the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government came into existence, the chief minister's office demanded the governor cancel the list given by the MVA government. However, Raj Bhavan made no decision on the chief minister's office letter. The decision on the 12 MLAs appointed by the governor before the new governor, Ramesh Bais, is going to be the most important one.

Koshyari has been embroiled in controversy ever since he became governor of Maharashtra in 2019. Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were sworn in for the posts of Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister on November 23. It was alleged that Koshyari carried out the swearing-in ceremony without checking how many MLAs he had with Ajit Pawar. The governor's decision was said to be biased. Koshyari's relationship with Uddhav Thackeray's new government has also deteriorated since then. The case of the governor's controversial remarks on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is also fresh.
